Trimming and Splitting Videos
To trim and split a video in Wondershare Filmora X, follow these simple steps:
- Start Editing: Drag your video from the media library to the timeline to begin editing.
- Trimming: To trim unwanted parts from the beginning or end of your clip, hover your cursor over the edges of the video on the timeline. A double-sided arrow will appear. Drag inward to remove the unwanted portions.
- Splitting: For more precise editing, move the red playhead (the vertical line) to the desired position and click the scissors icon. This will split your video into two separate clips.
- Deleting Segments: Repeat the splitting process to mark the start and end of a section you wish to remove. Select the unwanted segment and press the “Delete” key on your keyboard.
- Rearranging Clips: After deleting, you can rearrange the remaining clips by dragging them along the timeline as needed.
